Wiki / Set Bonuses

Gear Set Bonuses — passive effects for full-tier loadouts.

Equip 6 or more pieces from the same gear tier across any combination of the 11 equipment slots — weapon, shield, helmet, chest, gloves, legs, boots, ring, amulet, belt, and trinket — and the set bonus for that tier activates automatically. The effect shows in your equipment panel and flows directly into your character sheet stats.

Only the highest qualifying tier is active within this table — if you have 6+ pieces from multiple tiers simultaneously, the highest tier wins. Tailoring runs a fully separate 4-piece set bonus system below — Tailoring armor never counts toward this 6-piece pool, and this pool's weapon/shield/accessories never count toward Tailoring's. The two sets can still be active at the same time if you qualify for both independently — see the Tailoring section for how.

All 34 Set Bonuses, by Zone

Smithing needs 6+ pieces across any of the 11 equipment slots; Tailoring needs 4+ of its 5 armor pieces. The two pools are fully separate — see below for how they can both be active at once. Tailoring's bonuses are deliberately not a mirror of Smithing's at the same tier — different stat emphasis (item find, 2x-gather chance, XP/task, and ATK instead of a flat DEF-only curve), at a comparable order of magnitude. Every "All Resists" tier (13/23/30/34) additionally grants DEF equal to 3x its resist value.

How set bonuses work

Equip at least 6 items from the same gear tier across your 11 equipment slots and the set bonus for that tier activates.

The bonus flows through the same stat system as individual item bonuses — what your character sheet shows is exactly what the engine applies.

Only the highest qualifying tier activates within this system if you have 6+ pieces from multiple tiers simultaneously.

You can mix and match slots freely — a Stormglass set does not require 6 of the same item type, just 6 Stormglass items total.

Tailoring armor does not count toward this system, even though it shares the same tier numbering as Smithing — the two pools are fully separate, so a piece of gear only ever counts toward one set or the other.

Because Tailoring only ever occupies the 5 armor slots, you can still qualify for both at once: 4+ Tailoring armor pieces plus a matching-tier weapon, shield, ring, amulet, belt, and trinket (6 non-armor slots) is enough to activate this set too — Tailoring's own 4-piece set (below) and this one stack additively.

Notable sets

Sunforged (T15) — +20% gold find. The single largest gold-find set outside T27+.

Stormglass (T17) — +20% double gather chance. Strong for resource farming.

Eternium (T19) — +15% gold find and +10% item find combined.

Chronite (T28) — +30 XP/task. Best mid-endgame XP set.

Primordite (T34) — +30% gold find, +25% item find, +40 XP/task. Maximum combined bonus.

Primordite Tailoring (T34) — +35% 2x-gather chance, +28% item find, +35 XP/task, +20 All Resists, +60 DEF. Maximum Tailoring set bonus, stacks with the Smithing set above.

Tailoring Enhancement Bonus — a taste of the set, from one piece

Upgrading a piece of Tailoring armor with an Upgrade Orb (+1 through +4) does more than raise its DEF — it also grants a small slice of that piece's own tier's set bonus, scaled to the enhancement level, and it does this on its own — you don't need the other 4 pieces, or even any other Tailoring gear at all. A single enhanced piece is enough.

The formula: each piece contributes 1/15th of its tier's set bonus value per enhancement level — so +1 gives 1/15th, +2 gives 2/15th, +3 gives 3/15th, +4 gives 4/15th. Since the full 4-of-5-piece set bonus (above) already effectively represents "5 pieces worth" of that same value, one piece at +3 works out to 1/5th of the tier's set bonus — a full 5-piece set all enhanced to +3 adds the tier's entire set-bonus value again, stacking directly on top of the set bonus itself. Push all 5 to +4 and the pieces alone add a third more than that again — more than the set bonus itself, since +4 goes past the point +3 was balanced around.

Worked example — Celestium (T12) "Celestial Silk", set bonus +15% 2x gather chance

• One Celestial Silk piece at +1 → an extra +1% 2x gather chance, by itself, no other Tailoring gear required.

• The same piece at +2+2%. At +3+3%. At +4+4%.

• Wear all 5 Celestial Silk pieces, each enhanced to +3: that's +15% from the 5 pieces (3% × 5) plus the +15% full-set bonus (4+ pieces, from the table above) — +30% 2x gather chance total from one gear choice.

• Push all 5 to +4 instead: +20% from the pieces (4% × 5) plus the same +15% set bonus — +35% 2x gather chance total.

Applies to every stat a tier's Tailoring set bonus grants — gold find, item find, 2x gather chance, XP/task, ATK, DEF, and resists all scale the same way, whatever that piece's tier happens to give.

Pieces don't need to match tiers with each other for this part — each piece scales off its own tier's numbers independently. Mixing tiers just means you get a mix of bonuses instead of one clean stack; you only need matching tiers (4+) for the full set bonus itself.

When a tier's value doesn't divide evenly by 15 (e.g. Bloodweave's +10 All Resists), the per-piece amount is rounded up to a whole number for display — a Bloodweave piece shows +1 at +1, +2 at +2, +3 at +3 or +4. Item tooltips fold this straight into the item's own DEF/resist line rather than showing it separately.

Shows in your character sheet as its own line — "🧵+ Enhanced Tailoring pieces" — separate from the full set bonus line, so you can see exactly how much each is contributing.

Special Sets (6 pieces)

Special sets are built from named unique drops rather than a gear tier. They need 6 or more pieces of the same set, and they stack with everything above — a special set piece is not part of any tier, so it never competes with your Smithing or Tailoring set. All pieces are non-upgradable and cannot be socketed.

Conqueror's

7 pieces · Zone Control drop

+12 PvP ATK

Stormglass-equivalent stats at Netherite's level requirement. See the dedicated Conqueror's Set page.

Elementbound

7 pieces tagged, any 6 · Zones 18–20 secondary enemies

+12 Fire / Frost / Lightning Resist · +12 DEF

Each zone 18–20 secondary enemy bypasses your armour and suppresses your dodge and crit unless you have 30 resist of its element. Individual pieces only cover one element, so a completed Elementbound set is what lets one loadout fight all three without regearing.
