Wiki / Guild Raid Boss (Beta)
๐ Grimjaw, the Undying Bulwark
It doesn't matter who holds its attention โ Grimjaw marks them for death regardless, and the only way to survive is to make sure it's never the same raider twice in a row.
Raids are opening gradually: more bosses will appear here as they unlock. Numbers on this page are pulled live from the game's own code and change with balance patches, so this page is always current as of whatever's actually deployed right now.

Element
โ๏ธ frost
Requires Combat 60+ to join. Up to 8 raiders per attempt โ every raid skill lend below scales with no level cap, so there's no such thing as "maxed out" for a lender, only diminishing returns on roster slots (only 8 fit, and there are 10 skills that do something in this fight).
Stats above are Normal. Practice: 32,500 HP / 2015 ATK (no loot, for learning the fight). Hard: 65,000 HP / 4030 ATK, with raid-wide and over-time damage scaled the same way.
โ๏ธ Frost resist โ the main defense against Absolute Zero and Frozen
Grimjaw, the Undying Bulwark requires 64 total frost resist to mitigate most of its frost damage. That total comes from two independent sources that add together โ neither one alone is meant to be enough. (Every boss uses one of three elements โ fire, frost, or lightning โ and Ward/gear resist always check whichever one the current boss actually uses, not fire specifically.)
Real gear resist
Your actual CombatStats resist (fire/frost/lightning, whichever this boss uses) from equipped armor, enchants, and sockets โ the same stat the rest of the game uses. This is permanent and doesn't depend on anyone's raid lend.
๐ Ward (Jewelcrafting lend)
A Jewelcrafting lender tops everyone up in every element at once: a flat +12 always (just from having a Jewelcrafting lender at all, even between Ward casts), rising to +36 while Ward is actively up โ both scale with the lender's Jewelcrafting level, no cap, and work the same regardless of which boss you're fighting.
Meeting the full 64 requirement doesn't negate frost damage entirely โ it only reduces it by 50% (the mitigation cap). Falling short scales the penalty smoothly: the further under 64 total resist you are, the less of that 50% you actually get. Bring real frost-resist gear โ Ward alone was never meant to carry the whole requirement.
Ability rotation
A new ability is telegraphed 4s before it resolves, on a fixed 15s cadence โ the full 9-ability cycle repeats every 135s.
Rime Crushsingle
Heavy physical hit on one raider (or the tank, if Challenge is active).
Soul Anchormark_tank
Marks whoever's tanking for 55 seconds. A 2nd anchor while marked kills them outright โ nothing heals, cleanses or shields it. Bring 2 tanks: the marked tank stops taunting and the other one Challenges before the next anchor.
Absolute Zeroaoe
Frost damage to the whole raid โ only Ward mitigates this.
Creeping Frostpoison
Leaves one raider Frozen โ frost damage over time, stacks; frost resist (gear + Ward) reduces it. If it runs out without being cleansed, it jumps once to another raider.
โ๏ธ Rime Crush โ 3ร per cycle
Heavy single-target hit. Goes to whoever's actively taunting (Challenge) if anyone is โ otherwise a random living raider. Mitigated by the target's DEF and by Fortify if active, or dodged entirely if Veil is active and the roll lands in its favor. A Reinforce shield absorbs it in full.
โ๏ธ Absolute Zero โ 2ร per cycle
Hits every living raider except whoever's actively tanking Rime Crush. Frost resist is the main lever against it; Fortify cuts it by 12% at level 70 while active, and a Reinforce shield soaks up to 100% of each hit.
โ๏ธ Creeping Frost โ Frozen
Puts Frozen on one raider for 15s: frost damage every few seconds, stacking if it lands again.Frost resist reduces it and Cleanse removes it. If it runs its full course without being cleansed, it jumps once to another raider. Cleanse helps here but isn't required.
โ Soul Anchor
Marks whoever's tanking for 55 seconds. A 2nd anchor while marked kills them outright โ nothing heals, cleanses or shields it. Bring 2 tanks: the marked tank stops taunting and the other one Challenges before the next anchor. Plan for two tanks trading taunt.
Enrage
There's no hard timer that ends the fight โ a wipe always comes from the boss actually overwhelming the raid. But the boss doesn't sit still forever either: starting at 210s into the fight,Rime Crush, Absolute Zero, and Frozen damage all begin climbing, reaching double strength 60s after that point and continuing to climb with no ceiling the longer the fight drags on. A roster that only ever heals and never brings the boss's HP down will eventually take damage faster than any amount of healing can keep up with โ that's the real pressure, not a clock.
Raid lends โ one skill, one buff, no cap
Every raider always has a basic Attack. Lending one tradeskill to the raid unlocks exactly one more action for whoever lends it โ shown here at level 70 as a reference point, but every one of these keeps scaling higher the more that tradeskill is leveled, with no cap. That level is your effective level โ skill-boosting gloves/trinkets count toward it, same as everywhere else in the game. Only 8 raid slots exist, so covering every skill at once is a real roster tradeoff โ coordinate with your guild, since a skill two people both lend doesn't stack.
๐ฏChallengeโ Combat (Tank) lend
TANK ROLEUnlocks Challenge (taunt) ยท +210 self DEF, +525 self max HP, takes 65% less damage from the boss's heavy single-target hit while taunting
โจMendโ Spellcrafting lend
Unlocks Mend โ the big instant heal: 42% of the target's max HP (~221 HP on a typical raider, ~441 on a tank). Halved on a cursed target.
๐ฑRegrowthโ Gathering lend
Unlocks Regrowth โ heal over time: 77 HP every 3s for 15s (up to 385 HP on one raider). Best cast before damage lands.
๐ Wardโ Jewelcrafting lend
+12 flat resist to every element always, +36 while Ward is actively cast โ raiders still need real resist gear (matching the boss's element) on top to meet its requirement
๐ก๏ธFortifyโ Smithing lend
Unlocks Fortify โ +220% raid DEF and 12% less damage from the boss's raid-wide attacks while active
๐งชCleanseโ Alchemy lend
Unlocks Cleanse โ the cure: removes curses, Burning/Frozen/Shocked stacks and Morwenna's Doom Mark from one raider (the only thing that can), plus a small heal of 25% max HP (~131 HP on a typical raider).
โ๏ธWar Cryโ Mining lend
Unlocks War Cry โ +22% raid ATK while active
๐ชReinforceโ Construction lend
Unlocks Reinforce โ refreshes a +84 shield on every raider, absorbing damage before HP โ only wears off when it's actually depleted, not on a timer
๐ฉธRendโ Woodcutting lend
Unlocks Rend โ bleeds the boss for 119/tick over time
๐งตVeilโ Tailoring lend
Unlocks Veil โ +80% chance to dodge the boss's heavy single-target hit entirely while active
The tank role (Combat lend)
Combat is the one lend that's foundational rather than swappable โ same tier as "bring a healer," not part of the interchangeable support pool. Lending Combat:
- Unlocks ๐ฏ Challenge โ taunts Rime Crush onto the tank for 32s per cast.
- Grants a passive self DEF/HP bonus on top, scaling with Combat level (no cap).
- Takes 65% less damage from Rime Crush specifically while actively taunting โ stacking with the DEF bonus and with Fortify.
If the tank goes down, taunt lapses and Rime Crush starts landing on random raiders at full force instead.
Special-skill refresh timing
Fortify, Veil, War Cry, Ward, and Rend all run on the same 28s refresh window โ they're refresh-not-stack (recasting early just extends the same window, it doesn't add a second one), and a dedicated lender mostly attacks in between recasts rather than spamming the buff every turn. Reinforce shares that same 28s cooldown as an instant shield burst instead of a timed window โ but the shield itself has no timer at all once it's up, it only wears off by actually being depleted. Cleanse has no cooldown of its own; like Mend/Regrowth, how often it fires is gated only by the caster's own action bar.
Loot
Everyone in the winning group (alive or not) rolls this table independently on a win โ no master loot, no need/greed, no rolling against each other. Item Find doesn't affect these rolls.
Weekly loot: your first clear of each boss per week on Normal or Hard rolls loot for everyone in the group, alive or not (Normal and Hard share it). After that the boss is marked loot claimed for you until the weekly reset, Monday 00:00 Eastern, the same moment for every player. You can keep raiding it as often as you like for leaderboard times. Practice never drops loot and doesn't use your weekly loot.
Progression: bosses unlock in order (Ashmaw โ Thessaly โ Morwenna โ Grimjaw โ Skarth), and everyone in the group must meet the requirement. Practice and Normal of a boss need the previous boss cleared on Normal (a Hard clear counts too). Hard of any boss needs that same boss cleared on Normal first. Ashmaw's Practice and Normal are always open. A win counts for everyone in the group, alive or not. Practice clears never count.
Drops as a pair. Smithing forges it into Raidforged gear (Smithing 77): combat plate with this boss's element resist.

Raid nights on Discord
Planned raids are posted in the #raiding channel of the IdleWorlds Discord. Each post names the boss, the league and the start time (Eastern), and opens a sign-up thread: react โ if you're in, ๐ค if you might be. Every planned raid is also a Discord event, so you can mark it Interested and get a reminder when it starts.
Results posted to #raid-results start with [Standard] or [SSF]. SSF bosses have far less HP, so the two leagues' clear times aren't comparable.
