The Daily Dungeon is IdleWorlds' dedicated single-player combat gauntlet. Unlike regular zone combat — which is idle, continuous, and meant to run while you are away — the Daily Dungeon is an intentional challenge mode with a fixed number of attempts, increasing difficulty across 30 floors, and a belt reward that is exclusive to this mode. You enter a floor, engage the boss, and either clear it or get defeated. Clearing unlocks the next floor permanently for future runs. Each floor you reach represents a concrete benchmark of your character's combat capability at that moment.
The dungeon runs on a timer rather than a loop count. You have a set window to defeat the floor boss based on its HP and the damage you deal per cycle. If you cannot kill the boss within that time, the attempt ends. This makes ATK far more critical in the dungeon than DEF — while DEF still determines how much HP your character loses during the fight, ATK determines whether you can race down the boss's HP before time runs out. Players who push the dungeon aggressively often run higher-offense loadouts than they would for regular zone content.
Floor 1 requires approximately 92 ATK and 79 DEF (the Vaultfang Warden). Floor 10 escalates significantly. Floor 20 is well into Kingssteel territory. Floor 30 — the Abyssal Archon — requires approximately 346 ATK and 324 DEF and represents a genuine top-of-game challenge that only the most geared players can clear. The progression through floors 11 to 30 was added to give endgame players a structured goal beyond zone pushing, and the difficulty curve in the upper half of the dungeon is deliberately steeper than the zone equivalent.
The Enchanted Belt is the dungeon's signature reward. Your belt tier is tied to your highest cleared floor. A player who has cleared Floor 5 wears an Enchanted Belt Level 5. A player who has cleared Floor 28 wears an Enchanted Belt Level 28. The belt provides DEF, HP, and XP-per-task bonuses that scale with level, with the most powerful belts providing significant advantages in both combat and skill progression. Because the belt is tied to cleared floor count rather than a single-use reward, it is always up to date with your best dungeon performance.
Each daily dungeon run also grants XP and a daily attempt reset. The intent is that players come back to the dungeon regularly — not as a primary activity but as a supplement that rewards the characters who have been developing across all the other systems. A player with excellent combat gear, a high Jewelcrafting ring, an active weapon enchant, and ATK potions running will always outperform a character of similar raw combat level who has neglected accessory slots and buffs. The dungeon is one of the cleanest tests of complete loadout optimization in the game.
For players who have not yet touched the Daily Dungeon: start whenever your ATK and DEF are solidly in the 90–120 range. The early floors are accessible and the belt reward they unlock immediately contributes to your overall combat stats. Do not wait until you feel fully prepared for Floor 30 before engaging. Every floor you clear today permanently raises your belt level, which improves your performance in every other activity that benefits from XP and HP. The dungeon is not a side feature. It is one of the core long-term progression tracks in IdleWorlds.
